MOSCOW - PATRICK Chan of Canada has set a world record to take the lead in the men's short program at the world championships in Moscow.
Chan scored 93.02 points on Wednesday for his routine, besting Evgeni Pluschenko's old mark of 91.30 set at the European championships in Tallinn, Estonia, in January last year.
