LONDON - A LATE surge in demand forced Olympic organizers to extend the deadline by one hour for fans to apply for tickets to the 2012 London Games.
The official ticket website experienced delays late on Tuesday night ahead of the 11.59pm deadline as customers rushed to submit applications for the 6.6 million tickets on sale.
