SHEFFIELD (United Kingdom) - CHINA'S Ding Junhui faces a battle to stay in the world championships after slipping 9-7 down to England's Stuart Bingham in the best-of-25-frame second round on Sunday.

Ding, who won the Masters title in January, had fallen 3-0 behind before coming back to 3-2 with breaks of 67 and 74. Bingham pulled away again though, taking two of the next three frames to obtain a 5-3 lead to take into the second session.
