Japan football association signs first Asian partnership

THE football associations of Singapore and Japan have signed an agreement which will give the development of football a boost, particularly in the area of youth development, football science and medicine, and coach and referee education.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the Japan Football Association's (JFA's) first with an Asian country, having signed agreements with the French Football Federation in 2005 and Spanish Football Federation last year, said the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) in a press statement.
