Rio 2016 set to limit sponsors to avoid 'clutter'

LONDON - RIO de Janeiro organisers of the 2016 Olympics say they don't plan to attract any more sponsors when they have reached their target of US$1.2 billion (S$1.5 billion) to try to avoid 'clutter.'

Two local sponsors, Brazilian bank Bradesco and a communications consortium of Embratel and Claro, have already generated US$640 million.
