LONDON - MANCHESTER United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said on Thursday he expects to make a trio of transfer signings this year as he aims to rejuvenate his latest title-winning squad.
United, who won a record 19th title last weekend, are expected to raid the transfer market following the retirements of goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar and Gary Neville along with uncertainty over the future of Paul Scholes.
